This year's upgraded R2 model fixes one of the biggest issues we had with this laptop. Warmth. With the inclusion of Intel's Latest Core Ultra 9 155H processor and the updated fan blades, this new version is now very comfortable to use. In 2024, this is one of our favorite gaming laptops. Probably top 3. Pros: If you opt for the Cherry MX keyboard at checkout you get the BEST typing experience of any laptop. The chassis also sits low on the desk so your palms aren't uncomfortably raised, which is an issue on many high-performing 16-inch gaming laptops. Dell also gets the most out of the components inside this laptop as they are run at full power. Finally, the laptop’s fan noise is surprisingly quiet when compared to similar laptops. Cons: Measuring in at under 400 nits, the screen isn't bright. Coupled with the laptop’s high price and very odd shape and size – making it not fit in a regular 16-inch laptop sleeve or backpack – this laptop has cons to take into heavy consideration when purchasing.
